Install MSDEVBUILD on your device
The whole library — Cloud, Azure, AI, GitHub Copilot, .NET, Flutter and Web — as an app on your home screen. It installs from this page in one tap, reads offline, and takes a fraction of the space of a store download.

MSDEVBUILD
by Suthahar Jegatheesan · blog.msdevbuild.com
- Opens like an app
- Its own icon on the home screen or dock, full screen, no browser chrome.
- Reads offline
- Articles you have opened stay readable on a plane or a bad connection.
- New-article alerts
- Optional notifications when something new is published. Off by default.
- Nothing to download
- No app store, no account, a few hundred kilobytes. Uninstall like any app.
How to install
Takes about ten seconds.
Android
Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet
- Tap Install app on the install page, or the ⋮ menu in the browser bar.
- Choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
- Confirm Install. The icon lands on your home screen.
iPhone & iPad
Safari only — Apple allows no install prompt
- Open the install page in Safari (not Chrome or an in-app browser).
- Tap the Share button — bottom bar on iPhone, top-right on iPad.
- Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Windows, Mac & Linux
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc
- Click Install app on the install page, or the install icon in the address bar.
- Confirm Install in the browser dialog.
- It opens in its own window and pins to the taskbar or dock.
On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work once the app is on the Home Screen — open it from the new icon first, then enable them from the prompt at the bottom.

Questions
Is this from an app store?
No. It is a Progressive Web App — the site itself, installed by the browser. Nothing goes through Google Play or the App Store, and there is no account to create.
How much space does it take?
A few hundred kilobytes, plus the articles you read while offline caching is active. A normal app download is tens of megabytes.
How do I remove it?
Uninstall it exactly like any other app — long-press the icon on mobile, or use the app window menu on desktop. The site keeps working in the browser afterwards.
Will it send me notifications?
Only if you turn them on yourself, and only for new articles and announcements. Permission is never requested on install.
